Eco Beauty: For The Long Weekend

beauty1

Yay it’s Friday! That can only mean one thing the weekend is almost here! For those of us in Cayman that means we are blessed with yet another long weekend! What better way to kickstart your weekend than with a little eco beauty pampering.  These are some of my favorite eco beauty products, from the Body Shop and Target.

Morning Routine

1. Vitamin C Daily Moisturizer SPF 30

Living on an island it is a must to incorporate sunblock into your morning routine.  Even if you are only walking around outside for a few minutes or just in and out of buildings while running errands it doesn’t hurt to protect your face with sunblock.  The Vitamin C boost will help give your skin a radiant glow. 2.  Vitamin C Skin Boost

This is probably my favorite product by the Body Shop! I use it every day and can tell you it most definitely makes your skin super soft and leaves your complexion glowing radiantly. It is a must have!  The Vitamin C works to brighten your skin so you always look healthy and like you have had a fabulous day at the beach.  The Vitamin E is awesome, as it helps to keep your skin protected from yucky environmental aggressors. 3. Seaweed Mattifying Day Cream

What I love about this product is that it keeps your skin looking fresh and hydrated all day.  Seaweed is great for toning your skin.

4. Rosewater

Rosewater is another must have! It is absolutely cool and refreshing to the skin.  It is a great way to rejuvenate your face from a long tiring day at work.  Personally, I don’t wear make-up daily, to be honest I just can’t dedicate the time to applying make-up everyday -just not gonna happen lol- but if you do wear make-up daily consider using rosewater to help remove make-up.  It is also good to keep in mind from time to time it’s nice to give your face a break from make-up.  As far as I am concerned make-up just enhances our natural beauty.  Other benefits, of Rosewater, is that it acts as a natural skin toner, and hydrates your skin, which is a plus for island living and summer time! (Target)

What I love most about Body Shop products is that they are environmentally responsible.  Their products are not tested on animals and they support fair trade.

Enjoy the long weekend! Take some time to pamper yourself before the long weekend officially starts.  Ok ladies, here are your eco beauty tips for getting ready for the boys of the summer.

with love xo

P.S.- Stay tuned for upcoming posts on how to make your own rosewater toner.
