Going Green but Thinking Pink…

As you know October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and marketing focuses on “Think Pink” and I fully support raising awareness for breast cancer and that education is key.  With this in  mind I want to encourage everyone who is thinking pink to go green.  I found a great article today which I want to share with you all, as it has a wonderful and very informative info-graphic about ingredients found in products women use daily that  are contributing to the risk of getting cancer.  What are these cancer-causing ingredients? Lead, aluminum, parabens, phthalates, triclosan and octyl-methoxycinnamate. I implore you ladies to take the time to read the ingredients in products which you use daily such as make-up, deodorant, perfume, lotions, bath products and hair products and check if any of the harmful ingredients listed above are in fact used in the making of that product.
