2014 is quickly coming to a close.  There are so many fond memories to look back on and reminisce over.  Some of my favorites are the intrguing books I have read lounging by a pool or on a beach.  After finishing them I couldn’t wait to share them with friends.   In honor of 2014 and the great books that have been read and loved my bestie Tiffany, founder of My Happy Coincidence and I have teamed up to share our favorite books for 2014 with all of you! Rainy Days + Traveling Books

I just love summer rainy days and nights.  My favorite things to do when there is a downpour outside is to light my candles, read a good book, listen to music or watch black and white movies.  Sometimes I think I was born in the wrong era because I love the classics and most things vintage.  Plus, I am absolutely fascinated by the Roaring 20’s.  –The Great Gatsby by F.Scott Fitzgerald is one of my all time favorite novels, it’s hard not to love Fitzgerald, and I admit I read it again before watching the movie this summer-. Traveling Books Yesterday, I came across two novels I am excited to read, at the Cayman Islands Humane Society Book Loft.  Bonus, I also found this lovely eco friendly bag which is made from repurposed newspaper!!  Remember, if you have books that you no longer read donate them to the Book Loft the proceeds will help benefit the animals.  If you haven’t been there then I recommend that you check it out, a small book loft filled …

Traveling Books and Stories

Summer is quickly approaching which means that your summer reading list (like mine) is probably increasing.  If you are like me, you do your best reading during the summer.  When I think back to some of my favorite books I remember the places I read them.  Either on the beach, lounging by the pool, curled up on the couch with the rain falling or even while traveling on an airplane, and being stuck in transit. One way to be eco chic while reading this summer, and all year round for that matter is to donate books.  A great place to donate books is the Book Loft at the Cayman Islands Humane Society.  The Book Loft is this hidden gem where you will discover books that will make it to your absolute favorite’s book list.  I was lucky that one day my sister introduced me to the wonderful world of the Book Loft, and that is where I go first when trying to find a book that is traveling around as a must read.  The prices …
