Starting tomorrow, officially the Christmas Season will be upon us. Yay! I love Christmas! It’s an incredible time of year, so much to be thankful for, and a wonderful time to be with friends and family. Happy Thanksgiving Canada! xo Growing up I celebrated the American Thanksgiving, and since living in Toronto I now celebrate Thanksgiving twice a year! Thank you Canada. Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday of the year. What I love most about this holiday is that Thanksgiving is a whole day dedicated to spending time with family and friends and more importantly to reflect on what we are most thankful for. At Thanksgiving dinner my family would go around the table and say at least one thing we were thankful for, and that is how I think of Thanksgiving. A time to reflect on our blessings. There is so much to be thankful for in this world. Just walking down a nature trail, shows you how beautiful this world is. Being surrounded by trees that seem to touch the sky, and are transforming into gorgeous earth tones and gold, can really put things into perspective. We really are so small in this world, yet we make the hugest impact on the environment. Our planet deserves so much …
4th of July is one of my favorite holidays! Fireworks, yummy food and time well spent with friends and family. Over the weekend, I tested out some ideas for the quickly approaching 4th of July Holiday,- this Wednesday! (not a public holiday here in Cayman). So here are the goodies I came up with…. 1. Eco Chic Table Decor Every now and then it is nice to incorporate fresh flowers into your brunches, lunches, and dinner parties. In the picture above are some fresh coral pink and white roses perfect trending summer colors! The great thing about choosing roses is that later the roses can be repurposed to make potpourri and/or rosewater. 2. Sunday Brunch Sangria This was my first time making Sangria and thankfully it turned out pretty good. Ingredients: 1 Bottle of Red Wine ( I used an unfinished, half a bottle of Red Wine) 2-3 slices of orange 2-3 slices of lemon 6-8 slicked strawberries 1 small diced apple Chill overnight, and enjoy the next day! 3.
