On a bit of a creative spree, and desire to do some redecorating, I recycled magazines to make some groovy eco home prints. All the fun is choosing a design and creating it. I wanted a vintage look, so I chose a vintage font, and kept things simple in regard to design. Two of the designs were inspired by my favorite Disney movies, Alice in Wonderland “It’s always tea time” and Snow White “Mirror, mirror on the wall.” I absolutely love cupcakes!!! Especially, Red Velvet, so for my third design I went with the ever famous quote by Marie Antoinette, “Let them eat cake.”
How to create your own
Create your design, and then print them on recycled magazine paper.
Tip: It’s best to use silhouettes for designs as they show up better. Also, try to find magazine pages which is mostly text to achieve the print as your background.
You can choose whatever size you would like, I went with 4×6 and then bought frames to display them.
Trace out a 4×6 box over the design to ensure that it will fit the frame and look how you want it to.
