Weekend Bucket List- For the rainy days

I have made up a short and sweet weekend bucket list just for the rainy days.  It has been pretty much non-stop rain and as nice as rainy days can be they can also put a dampener on your weekends especially when all you want to do is go to the beach or enjoy the outdoors instead of being coped up in a house all day. Weekend Bucket List for the Rainy Days                   1. Play! Take a break from technology (laptops, ipads, and cellphones -go off the grid-) and breakout those boardgames and card games and spend some quality time with friends or family. 2. Paint! If you are an artist, allocate some time over the weekend to catch up on painting, drawing, pottery, even writing whatever it is you love to do.  Be creative! Summer Essentials: Beach Days, Road Trips & Travel

If you’re like me you love summer days! So far summer has been pretty awesome.  One of my favorite things to do is to take photos.  I love photography and experimenting with different filters and camera/video apps.  Taking photos isn’t just about capturing a moment so a memory can last a lifetime, or freeze a moment in time forever, it is also a means of expressing yourself creatively and in some instances capturing the natural beauty of a place. I think of all the places I have traveled to and of course my home is probably my absolute favorite place in the world.  Regardless of where I am in the world taking photos, is my way of taking a piece of that place home with me.  More than that, I have come to find that the more I take pictures of the beautiful landscape of my home or other places, I realize how beautiful this world is and how important it is to fight to save the planet and work towards finding solutions for todays …

A Tree Huggers Bicycle

  For all you Tree Huggers, here is a neat way to repurpose an old bicycle which you don’t use anymore, and can’t bear to part with. 1. Give it a makeover.  Paint your bicycle a fun color. 2. Attach a basket to your bicycle if one doesn’t come with your bike already. 3. Place a plant, herbs or flowers inside the basket and ta-da you have repurposed your bicycle into a mobile garden, or at least you now have an eco chic art piece added to your garden. Alternatively, instead of placing a plant inside the basket you can repurpose the bicycle into a trendy art piece bird feeder.  Place a bowl inside the basket filled with bird food and before you know it birds will be flocking to your eco chic bike. with love from one tree hugger to another xo
