As a bit of a foodie, I love finding great restaurants.  One of my favourite places to eat at is The Brooklyn Pizza & Pasta, located at Camana Bay.  It is the ultimate urban dining experience in the Cayman Islands. I love pizza just as much as anyone.  They have an incredible selection of various pizza options.  As someone with food allergies (gluten, dairy and soy) I was delighted to find that The Brooklyn caters to food allergies. Holiday S’mores Recipe

‘Tis the season to make yummy holiday treats.  S’mores are a favorite dessert of mine. The traditional s’more is made with graham cracker, Hersey’s chocolate and traditional marshmallows.  This holiday season, I decided to try something different, using locally made marshmallows by Powder Monkey Gourmet Treats.  To give the s’mores non-traditional flavors but just as delicious, I used their coffee flavor and rose flavor. What you will need   Gluten-free, dairy-free and soy-free graham crackers (for those of you with food allergies), dairy-free and soy-free chocolate chips and coffee flavored marshmallows and rose flavored marshmallows made by Powder Monkey Gourmet Treats. How to make it   Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees. Place some graham crackers on the baking tray topped with marshmallows and the others covered with chocolate chips. Let them bake for 15 mins. Turmeric Latte: The New Cure for the Cold

Back from traveling and hit with the flu. On the positive side, I have learned that a turmeric latte is the new tea remedy for getting over the cold.  It’s bright and bold color makes it stand out as a drink loaded with health benefits.  Turmeric health benefits are considered to be: strong antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and bonus it helps with anti-aging.  It is simple to make and rich in taste.  A perfect cup of tea for the approaching holiday season.   What You Will Need Milk (any kind), turmeric, nutmeg, cinnamon and honey. How To Make It Boil your choice of milk (almond, coconut, soy, whole milk) on medium heat. Then stir in turmeric, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Red: The New Flavor of The Week

Saucha: Conscious Living is cooking up a storm, serving up some red hot new items to add to their portfolio of savory and sweet vegan treats.  Valentine’s Day might be over, but you can eat cake any day of the week.  Saucha is delighted to introduce their (Beet) Red Velvet Cupcake.  For those of you looking for something more savory, then you will be happy to know that Saucha has created a mini-tomato sauce along with tomato flax crackers.  These yummy new treats are made with locally sourced organic produce.
