Get dressed up in your finery and join the Fashion Forward Revolution with Finery.  Finery, ‘The Wardrobe Operating System’ is where a styling app meets sustainable fashion.  Finery is a must-have wardrobe inventory management system created by Brooklyn Decker and Whitney Casey.  Finery will have you falling in love with your clothing all over again. After all, the reason you bought those clothes in the first place was to wear them more than once.  Somewhere along the way, many of us have fallen out of touch with our wardrobe and find ourselves faced with the dilemma of not knowing what to wear each day. We tell ourselves we have nothing to wear. So, we go out and buy new clothing that perhaps we don’t need.  Sound familiar? We come to the realization what we really need is a little inspiration to restyle our current wardrobe. Welcome, Finery! This user-friendly app will change your whole perspective on your existing wardrobe. By digitizing your wardrobe onto the Finery app you now have at your fingertips your whole …

Sustainable Resolutions For The New Year

New year, new goals.  The beginning of a new year is an exciting time.  There is so much hope and possibility from new beginnings and fresh starts.  Spending time reflecting on the past year seeing how far you have come and looking forward focusing on your aspirations for the new year.   Sustainable living is a lifestyle.  Even by choosing to be dedicated to one sustainable resolution for the year will have a positive impact on the environment.  Take your time building up to incorporating other sustainable resolutions into your daily routine.     1. Be Fashion Forward: Support Sustainable Fashion Join the fashion revolution and support sustainable fashion.  If you can, support sustainably made clothing.  Other ways you can contribute to sustainable fashion is by wearing clothing more than once or twice.  It’s so easy to buy something pretty, wear it once and never pull it out of your closet again.  Buy pieces of clothing you love and envision yourself wearing in a variety of settings, occasions and events.  Have a bunch of clothing …

’Tis the season for a lot of holiday cheer, gift giving, holiday parties, fabulous eating and spending time with friends and family.  This time of year can get a little crazy, running around checking everything off our ‘To Do List’ and fitting in time for everyone and all of our holiday parties and dinners— not to mention work.  As it is the busiest time of year for everyone, it is easy to become feeling overwhelmed and stressed out.  Breathe! After all, it is the most wonderful time of the year.  Might we offer a solution to finding some time for yourself?  Take time out of your day even if it is just 5-10 minutes to spend outdoors.  Reconnecting with nature will help you reset and recharge.  Being immersed in nature can have a positive impact on your health, well-being, mind, body and soul.  (Nature is truly great for that.). While you are outdoors taking some time for yourself and recharging, why not include a very easy-to-do exercise challenge?  It is a win-win! It keeps you …

I love being outdoors.  In the spirit of setting fitness goals and stepping up my game when it comes to workouts, today on the blog we are sharing 5 sustainable essentials for your workout.  This is where sustainable fashion meets the gym.     1. Reusable Water Bottle Staying hydrated is imperative when you are doing a workout.  Especially, if nature is your gym, it can get pretty hot outside.  Always have your reusable bottle on standby.    2. Reef Safe Sunscreen Hello sunshine! No matter if you are running, holding a plank for 30 seconds or swimming in the ocean, don’t forget to put some sunscreen on.  Living in the Caribbean you can’t help but think about the ocean.  With this in mind, it is important to choose reef safe sunscreen options.  Coola sunscreen is available at Le Visage at Camana Bay.  3. World Oceans Day: Game Changers

In honour of celebrating World Ocean’s Day (8 June), and this year being designated as the International Year of the Reef, I would like to take this opportunity to recognise some amazing people who are making waves in Ocean Conservation.  These incredible souls are my personal heroes and legends in their own right.  They are ocean conservationists who are indeed game changers.  They are movers and shakers in the world of ocean conservation and are dedicated to creating a positive impact for the betterment of our oceans.  They all share the common goal of protecting and preserving our oceans, marine life and precious coral reef ecosystems. They are all an inspiration.  I am so proud to call these luminaries my friends, it is such a privilege to know them and be inspired by them.  I admire them for all that they do to raise awareness about environmental issues and their ocean conservation efforts.   Ellen Cuylaerts, Underwater and Wildlife Photographer, and Conservationist It is a true honour to know Ellen Cuylaerts.  She has an incredible …
