DIY: Eco Chic Wine Charms

New Year’s Eve is days away… Here is a fun and easy DIY project, to add some sparkle and dazzle to your wine glasses and champagne flutes.  Pop. Fizz. Clink. Dazzle. Eco Chic Wine Charms What you will need:  Beads, charms, and  silver hoops (Used for jewelry making).  Alternatively, you can make rings out of some wire using wire pilers to bend the ends together. Tip:  To keep it eco friendly you can repurpose old hoop earrings, beads and charms from broken necklaces or bracelets. Instructions: Simple, string together the desired beads or charms onto the silver hoops or wire depending on the medium you are working with.  Attach to glass.   Champagne Flutes Charms   Wine charms are super easy to make.  Consider setting up an art station where guests can create their own personalized wine charms and keep it as a New Year’s Eve keepsake.  Otherwise, your lovely wine charms can be used for dinner parties, birthday’s and other festive celebrations. I’ll Drink To That… DIY Chic Chalkboard Paint Repurposed Bottles

Over the weekend I found some time to work on some eco art projects.  I had a fantastic time!    Here is another eco chic way you can repurpose your wine bottles and glass jars.  Confession, this may have been one of those catch 22 art projects.  On one hand, I tried to be eco friendly by repurposing the glass bottles into chic decorative pieces for dinner or birthday parties by painting them in chalkboard paint.  Yet, the chalkboard spray paint may not have been so eco friendly. What you will need: chalkboard paint, chalk, wine bottles or glass jars. Easy Steps:  1. I bought some chalkboard paint in a spray can.  It was easy to use and pretty cheap.  (I purchased it at AL Thompson) Confession, it may have not been the most eco friendly choice, but I could not find one that was made with eco friendly products.  I felt it better to buy the spray can version as opposed to a can of chalkboard paint.  The spray can had the amount I …

When the last bottle of wine or Champagne was been finished off, and all that is left are the remains of a legendary soiree or spectacular birthday party, one can always find a creative way to be eco friendly.  Perhaps even throw an eco art project after-party… Save up all  your Wine/Champagne corks for a rainy day project or a day you feel inspired to take on some DIY Eco Art Projects.  I have come up with 2 ways that corks can be repurposed into functional, eco friendly items.  The wine corks used for these art projects were saved up over time. How to be an Eco Friendly Wine or Champagne Connoisseur – Reuse, Repurpose and Recycle your Bottles and Corks 1. Repurposed Champagne Cork Name Holder. Eco Chic: 4th of July Brunch with Sangria

4th of July is one of my favorite holidays! Fireworks, yummy food and time well spent with friends and family.  Over the weekend, I tested out some ideas for the quickly approaching 4th of July Holiday,- this Wednesday!  (not a public holiday here in Cayman).  So here are the goodies I came up with…. 1. Eco Chic Table Decor Every now and then it is nice to incorporate fresh flowers into your brunches, lunches, and dinner parties.  In the picture above are some fresh coral pink and white roses perfect trending summer colors!  The great thing about choosing roses is that later the roses can be repurposed to make potpourri and/or rosewater. 2. Sunday Brunch Sangria This was my first time making Sangria and thankfully it turned out pretty good. Ingredients: 1 Bottle of Red Wine ( I used an unfinished, half a bottle of Red Wine) 2-3 slices of orange 2-3 slices of lemon 6-8 slicked strawberries 1 small diced apple Chill overnight, and enjoy the next day! 3.
